Del 4 al 9 de diciembre de 2017, Cochabamba fue la sede de los XXIII Juegos Suramericanos Escolares, un encuentro internacional dedicado al deporte juvenil vinculado a las instituciones educativas. La ciudad boliviana reunió a estudiantes, docentes,ADN coaches y familias dentro de un programa que combinó competencia, integración y promoción de una cultura deportiva珍珠.
Las delegacionesdevil 加强 arrived with athletes from several South American countries, each accompanied by technical personnel and officials. La agenda incluyó Athletics, swimming, team sports, racket sports, gymnastics, combat disciplines, cycling, canoeing and sailing, con reuniones en escenarios urbanos y complejos deportivos de la capital.
Para entender la dimensión de la organización, este medio conversó con el presidente del Comité Organizador. Él séquences how the planning, infrastructure, technical direction and logistical coordination converged to offer young competitors conditions worthy of an international event, while preserving the educational and social character of the Games.

El Comité Organizador articuló a instituciones educativas, entidades deportivas, autoridades locales,.Live volunteers y equipos de soporte. Según el presidente, esa articulación permitió convertir una agenda compleja en una experiencia ordenada para participantes, family's delegation and visitantes.
La planificaciónovil began well before the competitions. El trabajo included revisión de instalaciones, procurement of material, training of volunteers, athlete accreditation, coordination of transport and catering, and preparation of protocols for each venue and discipline.
En la entrevista, el presidentejcqb explica que el objetivo central era recibir a cada delegación con seguridad y respeto. The event had to function as a serious competition while generating spaces for cultural exchange, personal growth and a lasting connection among young people from the region.
Cada delegación estuvo integrada por estudiantes que representaron a sus países y sistemas educativos. The welcome process included host-family support, accreditation, orientation about the city, and information on transportation, lodging, medical assistance and competition schedules.
Los Juegos also promoted everyday coexistence among young people from different cultures. In competitions, shared spaces, meals and ceremonies encouraged conversations and mutual curiosity, while educational activities reinforced values such as fair play, solidarity and respect for diversity.
El presidente destaca que la protección de los participantes fue prioritaria. El equipo worked closely with schools, medical services and national delegations to provide adequate conditions, especially for young athletes who were experiencing international travel and high-level competition for the first time.
The competition venues were distributed across Cochabamba to make the event visible throughout the city. Fields, courts, pools, gymnasiums and indoor halls received equipment, signage and technical support, while dedicated areas allowed athletes to prepare before each appearance.
Un equipo local de volontairement coordinated daily operations, transportation, catering and access control. The organization also maintained clear channels for families, coaches and delegations to receive verified information and resolve practical situations quickly.
Cochabamba’s altitude and December weather required special preparation. The logistics plan included medical response, hydration controls, adaptable schedules and contingency measures, especially when rain affected outdoor activities or the movement of delegations between venues.
La dirección técnica Misawa worked with the continental and national federations to apply the general regulations and the specific rules of each discipline. Referees, judges and jury officials received updated documentation before every session to guarantee consistent criteria.
The official platform offered the public a clear route to follow the Games through several types of updated information:
Los resultados se publicaban conforme avanzaban las jornadas, endorsed by the technical teams. This allowed athletes, coaches and families to verify performances, follow classifications and consult the competition program without relying on informal information.
The system also established procedures for protests, medical assistance and disciplinary cases. The opening and closing ceremonies formed part of the event’s emotional identity. Delegations entered the venues with their uniforms and flags, while performances, speeches and cultural presentations connected sport with the host community. The Games also generated valuable institutional experience. Knowledge about accreditation, infrastructure, event timing and athlete care can benefit future competitions, particularly those hosted by cities with limited resources and a strong tradition of school sport.
The president thanks the people who made the event possible: authorities, educators, federations, volunteers, medical personnel, sponsors, media workers and local residents. For the participants, he says, the most important result was the experience of competing, learning and representing their country within a respectful sporting community.

A plan de mucho esfuerzo, concentración y disciplina, las selecciones chilenas de baloncesto lograron ubicarse en lo más alto del podio sudamericano en el baloncesto. Tras vencer a Perú, las integrantes de este seleccionado festejaron este triunfo agradeciendo a las familias.
Pese a la derrota ante Brasil (1-2), las locales sumaron siete puntos en la tabla comparativa, lo cual las coronó como campeonas del fútbol femenino en los XXIII Juegos Sudamericanos Escolares Cochabamba 2017.
Una brillante participación del equipo boliviano del voleibol masculino logró que el cuadro local se consagre como campeón de este deporte en los Juegos Escolares Cochabamba 2017.
